Michael “Mikko” Disini — Principal

A senior marketing and business development professional with deep expertise in the telecommunications and networking industries, Michael "Mikko" Disini founded International Orange Strategies to deliver targeted product marketing solutions to high-tech companies. With more than 18 years of experience launching products and building opportunities in challenging and emerging markets at companies including GTE, Ascend Communications, and Lucent Technologies, Mr. Disini is a proven executive with demonstrated domestic and international expertise.

As founder of International Orange, Mr. Disini leverages his profound industry knowledge to provide innovative marketing solutions to leading networking and telecommunications companies. With his experience in broadband access, edge networks, optical Ethernet, core multi-service networks, security, IP TV and storage networking, Mr. Disini specializes in delivering marketing initiatives to increase product awareness, generate leads and speed prospect through the sales cycle.

Prior to International Orange, Mr. Disini was Senior Director for Strategic Marketing for Lucent Technologies, where he developed the strategic positioning and executed compelling marketing programs for the Lucent Metropolis® optical networking product line, including next-generation SONET, DWDM and multi-service optical products.

Prior to Lucent, Mr. Disini was an early employee at Ascend Communications where he established international product management to design customer-centric solutions and deliver support to the worldwide sales force. Mr. Disini also led a team of marketing professionals in the US, Europe and Asia to launch all international products.

Before Lucent, Mr. Disini held various product management positions at GTE, where he helped develop and launch numerous telecommunications solutions.

Mr. Disini has a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and B.S. in Materials Science and Electrical Engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
